Teresa Lawton

Born 1952, Poole, Dorset. She received a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art from Winchester in 1994.

She lives and works from her studio in Dorset and is inspired by the environmentally unique surroundings on the Isle of Purbeck.
She walks the beach every day , the coastline and landscape with which she is so familiar are key components to the way in which her work develops. "My paintings are abut the things that leave an impression on my mind or my heart and the landscape is the ground on which I explore these throughts and possibilities. I paint about a solitary inner world, which is affected by the memories of places or of people and animals I have known, loved or lost."

Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Shows and the New York Art Fair. Also her work is shown in numerous galleries in the South West of England as well as in London at the Art Fairs.
