Gregor Harvie

Born 1969.

"My paintings focus on the shifting boundaries between man and nature, the tension between man's desire to interact with nature and his need to intervene, an endless struggle to contain and exploit the natural world."

Gregor was brought up in Devon where he was trained by a professional artist from an early age. He was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Art from the City and Guilds of London Art College in 2000. While there he won the de Laszlo Foundation Prize for Portraiture in 2001.

Gregor originally trained as an architect and has a PhD in EnvironmentalDesign. Before dedicating himself to painting he worked as the Technical Trouble-shooter at the Millenium Dome.
